Surprising New Year's Resolutions

Some Goals You May Not Have Considered

When January 1 rolls around every year, people make goals or resolutions. Lose weight, stop smoking, spend more time with the family. These are all GREAT and I hope you have considered many of these life enhancing goals.

But today I want to give you some resolutions you may not have considered that just might make a real difference in your business and life success in 2004.

I resolve to fail in 2004

Yup, I plan on failing-and I plan to do it more than once. The only way to completely avoid failure is to never take a risk. People who never take a risk never experience much success in any area of life. Unless you are willing to try new things, you will never experience success in your business either. Now, I don't plan on STAYING in failure in 2004. Instead, I plan to learn from it, remold it and turn it into success.

I resolve to be courageous in 2004

When I was a kid I thought that courage meant you never had a fear. What I have found as an adult is that courage is when you do something in spite of the fear you feel. This year I want to live in such a way that my courage, not my fear, directs my life.

I resolve to receive, not horde, in 2004

Everyone is eventually paid what they are worth. I don't want to be one of those people who is constantly looking out for myself. Instead, I want to be the kind of person who helps others and trusts that it will make its way back to me. I don't have to horde, I can be generous. I can wait with open palms for whatever comes my way

I don't know what you have planned for 2004, but I hope you will consider making some resolutions that are more than just "outward". I hope that you will think about the things that really matter.
